Halo 4 Infinity Challenge – Competition Has Never Been This Fierce!
The Halo 4 Infinity Challenge may be a thing of the past, but it never hurts to remember our roots. There have been several first-person shooters that tried to test the boundaries of the gaming industry, but very few of them were able to achieve what Halo 4 could. Halo was a franchise that brought us the wonderful “Master Chief” and “Cortana”, as well as an abundance of other characters to follow across the span of multiple titles. Halo is the first true first-person shooter series that took fans on a journey through both space and time, which is probably why so many people have fond memories of playing it. While most of you are lurking for RB6 hacks, we're reminiscing (the best Fortnite hack or RUST hack and RUST hacks cannot stop us anyways!).
Halo 4 was a bit stale to some, but the challenges available were anything other than that. Sponsored by Virgin Gaming, the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge was a gaming series that allowed people to compete for prizes. If you were a stellar Halo 4 player a few years ago you are more than likely familiar with this process, as you probably took part in it for yourself.
Halo 4 can be looked at as a controversial title in many cases, as some people grew up loving the Halo series, only to be let down when Halo 4 was finally released.
Why Was Halo 4 So Controversial?
Many people believed that Bungie was going the wrong route with Halo 4, until they realized that Bungie wasn't even in charge of developing the project. There are plenty of times where you ask yourself “why would they even do that?” within the gaming industry, and this is most definitely one of them – although the graphics and story ended up being decent such as pubg hack, the game still fell flat for most people. The Halo 4 Infinity Challenge was meant to breathe life back into the series, giving Halo 4 the boost that it so desperately needed. It's hard to tell whether or not they reached the numbers that they were looking for, but Halo 4 certainly wasn't as large of a success as the previous 3 titles.
When Was the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge?
If you weren't around for Halo 4 it's okay, as we have all of the details here for you such as pubg hacks. The Halo 4 Infinity Challenge was from December 17th, 2012 to January 10th, 2013. This was a matchmaking tournament that was played through your version of Halo 4, and consisted of many different game modes. Some of the modes that you played within the Infinity Challenge were created for that specific purpose, with a new one being added every single week.
There were 3 tiers of leader board to consider, and you needed to reach a specific score to be considered for each scoreboard. It's a lot like the rankings were see in ranked matches within modern games like Rainbow Six Siege hacks.
How to Play the Halo 4 Infinity Challenges
Although the challenge has been finished for years and if you're just getting interested now, it's way too late, here is how you play the various games within the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge:
War Games were constantly updated for the Infinity Challenge requirements, which meant that there was going to be a brand new game mode being released every single week. Although some of them are the original game modes altered a bit, it's still a neat addition to consider! The added game types were:
- Infinity Challenge Slayer (Week 1)
- Infinity Challenge CTF (Week 2)
- Infinity Challenge Regicide (Week 3)
- Infinity Challenge Dominion (Week 4)
- Infinity Challenge Slayer (Week 5 – Finals
If the player was able to keep up with the competition every week you would have scored a ranking on the leader board, and you also would have received a prize according to which leader board you ended up finishing with.
Spartan Ops is very similar to War Games in the sense that you need to complete as many of these as possible to improve your ranking/score. To reach the next tier within the Infinity Challenge they called for you to play a certain number of Spartan Ops games, which can be tough for the lone wolf – almost all of the game types within Spartan Ops call upon the need for teamwork if you want to secure a win.
How did you feel about Halo 4 when it was released? We know now that it wasn't the most successful addition to the series, but it also wasn't the worst; we'll leave that one to Halo: Reach! In any case, hopefully the Halo franchise can make a comeback sometime soon, as us gamers could use a reliable sci-fi shooter at this point.
