When you’re trying to survive in Chernarus, things can get a little hectic between all of the other players and the zombies that you’ll encounter. It can often feel like it’s a hopeless battle, especially when you get killed by someone with a penchant for scavenging and you end up losing all of your good stuff.
If you’re tired of getting pushed around and struggling to progress through DayZ, one of the best things you can do for yourself and for your mental health is install a quality cheat pack. Using cheats will give you an edge that you otherwise wouldn’t have and can turn you from other people’s prey into a hunter.
However, cheating in DayZ isn’t quite as seamless as many people would like it to be, and it’s entirely possible that you may run into issues trying to get your hacks to run. Thankfully, the vast majority of issues can easily be ironed out with a little bit of work on your part, so let’s look at some of the solutions to malfunctioning DayZ cheats.
Before you run a cheat loader, you’ll need to make sure that some security features on your computer are disabled. We understand that this sounds suspicious, especially with the less than stellar reputation that some of our competitors in the cheat industry have, but there’s a very good reason for this.
If you fail to deactivate some of your computer’s protection, then the cheat loader will likely get detected as a false positive. When this happens, it will immediately be quarantined by your anti-virus software and it may even end up deleted if you don’t take quick action to reverse the quarantine.
Even if you can get the file out of quarantine, with anti-virus programs still active, the same thing will happen again. Even if you can run the cheat loader, it may be stopped partway through the installation by your anti-virus software and you’ll experience an error when trying to use your hacks.
Along with turning off your computer’s anti-virus, you’ll also have to go into your PC’s BIOS and turn off the secure boot function. This will allow the hack to be booted up with your computer, and this is a crucial part of making sure that our cheats don’t end up getting detected by anti-cheat programs.
Another thing that you’ll have to account for if your cheats aren’t working is the possibility that the cheat pack that you downloaded may not be compatible with your computer. Start by ensuring that you have at least Windows 10 installed on your computer, as that will be necessary to use any of our hacks.
You’ll also want to make sure that your Windows 10 installation is the proper version for the set of cheats that you intend to use. While all of our cheats work on Windows 10, they may not work on certain outdated versions of the operating system, so check your System Update panel to see if you have any pending updates.
You’ll also want to consider the kind of hardware you’re using on your computer. For example, our DayZ Intel pack is only compatible with computers using Intel CPUs, and it won’t work on machines that are running AMD chips. Be sure to also verify the GPU compatibility of your chosen hack.
If you’ve chosen a hack that requires virtualization to be enabled, you’ll first have to check and see if your processor supports the process. If it does, you may have to restart your computer so that you can access the BIOS and then activate the virtualization function in the menu.
Some cheats may not function until you initially configure them, whether it be due to lack of key bindings or the cheats simply not being enabled. How you configure your cheats varies from hack to hack, but many of our cheats feature in-game menus that you can access to set up the hack parameters.
The way to access this in-game menu will be outlined in your cheat instructions, and you may have to configure your cheats every time you open up the game. Some cheats even feature presets that you can use to ensure that you’re not wasting time setting the cheats up every time you start the game.
Keep in mind that not all cheats feature an in-game menu that can be used to configure the hacks. For example, our DayZ Alpha cheat pack is designed to be configured manually by editing the cheat .config file using a text editor like notepad. Some cheats will allow you to outright disable certain functions. For example, if your cheat comes included with an aimbot, then you may wish to disable it to make it less obvious that you’re hacking. However, this also means that you may get fooled into thinking your cheats don’t work if they’re not set up properly.
One final thing to consider that’s unique to DayZ is the fact that the game supports modded servers. Since the game files on these servers are modded, there may be conflicts between them and the files of internal cheat sets that have to be injected directly into the game files.
Whether or not hacks will work on modded servers is something that you’ll have to experiment with yourself because there are so many different DayZ hacks. However, if you’ve been having issues using your cheats with modded DayZ files, then you may wish to uninstall your mods to see if they work without them.
While this may sound like a fringe scenario, you’d be surprised by the number of people who try to hack DayZ with modded game files, since hacking and modding tend to go well together (when they work).
