We’ve all been there, you’ve just installed your new cheat package for Fortnite and you’re ready to destroy some noobs out there when you suddenly realize that your cheats aren’t working. Before you go ahead and complain that your cheats are broken, you may want to see if they were installed properly.
Online game cheats are complicated things, and there are so many issues that can arise that may not even be your fault, so you’ll have to do a bit of investigating to figure out what’s going on. The best way to determine if there’s an issue is to do a little bit of troubleshooting, and that’s what we’re going to discuss today.
Over the course of this guide, we’ll cover some of the most common issues that you can expect to run into when you install your Fortnite cheats. Whether you had a problem installing them through the cheat loader or if you’re just struggling to find out what’s going wrong, this guide should help you out.
One of the most common mistakes that people make is trying to rush into installing their cheats using the cheat loader without reading what we have to say beforehand. We understand being excited to try out your new hacks, but you’ll be disappointed if you can’t get them working in the first place.
Before you try using a cheat loader, you’ll have to make sure that you disable any anti-virus programs that you have active on your machine. If you don’t have any additional anti-virus, then your computer is likely relying on Windows Defender, which will also have to be shut off so as not to cause an installation error.
Anti-virus programs tend to create problems when you’re installing cheats to your computer because cheats typically don’t have valid certificates since they’re grey market software. When you’re shopping around for cheats, one of the most important things to do is to make sure that your hacks are compatible with your computer. Unfortunately, if you rushed and got your hands on a set of cheats without checking to see if they’d be compatible, then you may run into some issues.

The biggest hurdle to doing so is that Fortnite is a relatively big game, and if you don’t have fast enough internet or if your downloads are limited, you may have some trouble doing so.
If reinstalling the game isn’t a realistic option for you, then you’ll need to consider reinstalling the cheat package that you’re using. Whether this is easy or complicated depends on the exact set of hacks that you’re using, as some may be designed to be uninstalled with relative ease while others may present a bit more of a challenge.

For those who want to be prepared for issues with their hacks and who have additional hard drive space available, then it’s possible to copy and paste your Fortnite game folder so you have a backup installation. If you ever run into trouble, you can delete the Fortnite install where you installed the cheats and then replace it with the original one.
