Using cheats isn’t only for fun. It can also make it a lot easier to work your way through game progression systems that seem to be getting more and more grindy over time. If you’re sick of dealing with convoluted systems so you can advance in a game, using cheats will feel like a breath of fresh air.
In today’s guide, we’re going to take a look at how cheating can help you progress through Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. There are a few different progression systems in the game, and they each have their own benefits for moving forward, so we’ll see how cheating can help you through each of them.
Replacing the traditional Prestige system used in previous Call of Duty games is the system that was introduced with Modern Warfare. The seasonal ranking system creates a new prestige for each season, and you have until the end of said season to get to rank 50 and then rank 100 to unlock new prestige logos.
Black Ops Cold War even added things like Prestige Keys, which you can use to unlock the old-school prestige logos from previous Black Ops games and even from World at War! This is an exciting development for Call of Duty veterans who want to feel a bit of nostalgia from the old days.
Progressing through the seasonal ranks in Black Ops Cold War takes a lot of time and dedication, but if you’re trying to get through them fast, then you may need a bit of extra help. Believe it or not, the main reason why most players struggle to make it through the seasonal rankings is due to lack of motivation.
If you’re the most motivated Call of Duty player in the world, then you may not even need cheats to help you make it through the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War seasonal ranks. However, if you’re the kind of player that gets frustrated after a losing streak, then they’ll probably be the silver bullet you’re looking for.
By using cheats, you can ensure that your games go smoothly, and you can extend your winning streaks using things like aimbots and ESPs to ensure that you’re always able to dominate your enemies. The more games you win effortlessly, the more you want to play, and the more experience you’ll get to make your way through the ranks.
As with any Call of Duty game, the true stars of the show in Black Ops Cold War are the weapons, but there are more and more guns with each season, and unlocking all of the attachments gets more and more difficult. For a while now, Call of Duty has featured separate XP for each weapon, highly streamlining the process of unlocking attachments.
However, one of the main complaints about Black Ops Cold War is that the weapon progression is far slower than in last year’s Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare. Because of this, it can feel like a slog to master even one weapon, and by the time you’re done with it, you’ll probably be sick of the game.
This is where cheats can help you once more. When you’re using hacks, you’ll be getting far more kills than you regularly would, and if you’re using a weapon without attachments, you’ll be sure to unlock a whole range of them by the end of your first game. You’ll then have attachments to improve your weapon’s performance, making you even deadlier!
Another thing to consider is that stock weapons kind of suck since you don’t have access to things like foregrips or the Agency and KGB suppressors to reduce recoil. By using a no recoil cheat, you’re able to make up for one of the major weaknesses of stock weapons. If you decide that you prefer the no recoil cheat in the first place, then it saves you an attachment slot.
Yet another reason why you may wish to make it through your weapon ranks as quickly as possible is because these ranks unlock weapon camos as you get through them. Instead of wasting the headshots and close-range kills that you’re getting because you haven’t unlocked your camo challenges yet, you’ll be able to start working on them sooner.
One of the most impressive achievements that any player can attain over the course of a Call of Duty game’s release cycle is unlocking all of the camos for the available weapons. In more recent Call of Duty Games, doing so has unlocked a special Dark Matter camo for all weapons.
While getting the Gold camo on guns like assault rifles and SMGs just takes dedication, doing so with other weapons can often be relatively challenging. For example, getting longshots with the M79 to get gold with it is an extremely difficult prospect, especially when you consider the prevalence of the Flak Jacket perk.
Pistols are a different matter altogether, since they’re weaker than the majority of the primary weapons that other players are always running around with. However, this once again becomes easier when you’re using cheats because you’re no longer putting yourself at a disadvantage.
Since some camo challenges require you to get headshots, you’d be served well by an aimbot that allows you to select the bone of the target that you want to aim at. By setting this to the head, you’ll be able to burn through your headshot challenges quickly, and you’ll also raise your weapon level at the same time.
As for things like longshots, it’ll be easier to get them because you’ll be able to lock on to enemies at a distance. However, we’d recommend using an aimbot with a range setting or a compensator to ensure that you’re able to hit enemies at extreme range because of bullet travel time.
Perhaps the most challenging weapon camos to get are the ones that require you to get Bloodthirsty medals with your weapons. This means that you’ll have to get a five kill streak without dying, and every kill in that streak must come from the weapon that you’re trying to unlock the camo for.
Yet another form of progression that has so far been more popular in free to play games is the Battle Pass system. In Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, we’re probably seeing the best possible application of a battle pass in any game because of how you can earn back even more COD points than you put in to access the Battle Pass.
While accessing the Battle Pass takes 1000 COD points, you can earn back up to 1300 just by making it to Battle Pass rank 100. Another great thing about the COD Battle Pass is that you can progress through it over time and there are also double BP progress weekends in which you can make it through a big chunk of the pass.
However, as with progressing through the seasonal ranking system, making your way through the Battle Pass in Black Ops Cold War is simply a matter of having the dedication to keep playing. If you get frustrated and want to give up, then you’ll probably struggle to make it to rank 100.
This is why you should use cheats to ensure that you stay motivated and that you can enjoy making your way through the ranks of the Battle Pass.
