Fortnite’s seasons are always a nice refresher for fans of the battle royale, but the launch of a new Fortnite chapter is always a special event. So far, we’ve seen the entirety of two Fortnite chapters, with Chapter 2 coming to a close in a pretty climactic way, paving the way for our current chapter.
Chapter 3’s release has been pretty epic so far, with the map being flipped and a range of events heralding the coming of a new age. In this short guide, we’re going to take a look at some of the new map locations that have been released in Chapter 3. Some of these locations are great drop spots, while others just look great.
The Foundation Statue and its island are probably the most recognizable region in the new Fortnite map. The Foundation, voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, was responsible for throwing out the Cube during the finale of the second chapter of Fortnite, bringing us to the current status quo.
Keep in mind that there’s more to this part of the map than the statue itself. There’s also a hidden inner bunker that you can explore, as well as some jump updrafts that will allow you to jump all the way up to the top of the statue. This can make for a great area to snipe your enemies from.
Keeping in tune with the Spider Man theme of Chapter 3, the introduction of the Daily Bugle lets you fight over Spider Man’s workplace and J. Jonah Jameson’s office. What’s interesting about this point of interest is that it looks oddly similar to Tilted Towers, though there are some key differences.
For example, there are huge spider webs all around the Daily Bugle that will allow you to trampoline yourself all the way into the sky. It looks like The Daily Bugle is nestled into the crater of a volcano, so it’ll be a little more challenging to access than Tilted Towers without Spider Man’s web slingers.
Sleepy Sound is one of the more picturesque places in the new updates, especially if you take a look at it from the opposing shore. It is ostensibly a fishing village, and the winter biome makes it stand out from its surroundings like some kind of Holiday paradise.
There are many different buildings that you can explore throughout Sleepy Sound, and there are a few secrets sprinkled throughout the area, so be sure to give things a closer look. Once you’re done looting Sleepy Sound, head across the water and you’ll have a few additional buildings to rifle through.
Finally, Camp Cuddle is an area filled with log cabins and the Cuddle Team Leader. If you can’t wait to try out the new MK-Seven assault rifle, you can purchase a legendary one from the Cuddle Team Leader, so you’ll likely find yourself heading over here pretty often if you’re a big fan of the gun.
