Uncharted is one of the most beloved series on Playstation, and the vast majority of its games have been released to exceptional critical acclaim. However, the Uncharted movie looks like it’s going to make the series even more well-known. To celebrate the release of the movie, Fortnite and Uncharted are having a crossover event.
While we haven’t had any official confirmation of the event from Epic Games, it’s expected to come soon. Leaks have already revealed what the skins will look like, so it doesn’t seem like this crossover event is going to be an elaborate hoax.
With that being said, the event may end up getting delayed before the skins come out, but after all of the effort that has gone into the crossover, it’s hard to imagine that it’ll be canceled unless something unexpected happens.
Since the event hasn’t been confirmed yet, we don’t know much about what’s going to happen as it takes its course. It’s possible that we’ll see some Uncharted-themed changes to POIs across the map, or the event will be a little more lowkey and consist of some special weekly quests.
If that’s the case, it won’t be the most eventful crossover that we’ve seen in Fortnite’s history, but it will still be an exciting change-up to the world and it will bring in some refreshing gameplay. However, what we do know is that there will be some high-quality skins for players to enjoy.
From what we’ve seen so far, there will be four skins that come out with this crossover event. Nathan Drake, the series lead, is the first of these skins, and the second one is Chloe Frazier. It makes sense that the two most notable characters are the ones that have skins featured in Fortnite, though there is one notable omission.
Long-time fans of the Uncharted series may have expected to see Sully represented by one of the skins, considering he’s being played by Mark Wahlberg in the new movie. In spite of the lack of a Sully skin, Uncharted fans will likely be excited to play as two of their favorite characters in an entirely different game.
One of the most impressive things about the skins that are coming out during the Uncharted crossover event is that there are two versions of each character. You can play as either the game versions of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazier, or you can play as the movie versions.
If you choose to play as the movie versions, your character will look like them as they are represented by Tom Holland and Sophia Ali in the upcoming film. Even better, you get access to both the movie and video game version of the skin that you purchase, allowing you to swap them at Lockers.
The event promises to introduce new items and quests, including a treasure hunt that has been teased.
